History and political science graduates are employed in a variety of positions in public service and the private sector. History majors find positions with research services, in editing, legislative analysis, trend analysis for media, public relations, government agencies or non-profit groups, site interpretation and management, historic preservation, oral histories, and the development of documentaries. Student Learning Outcomes for BA Degree Program in History: 1. Students will develop a basic understanding of history as a discipline and of its core fields, as well as knowledge of global historical events and patterns, including U.S., European, and non-Western history. 2.
