We?re one of only three places in North America teaching you to work with the state-of-the-art oil-less compressor, which is 20% more efficient than anything now on the market. And you can learn the latest in high tech control systems in our Johnson control lab. What training is required to service these systems? Today, the Environmental Protection Agency requires that technicians be certified. Graduates of Greenville Tech?s HVAC/R programs are well prepared to test for certification and as a result, enjoy a high success rate on the exam. You can even earn a certification for the 410A refrigerant being used in new residential and commercial air conditioning systems. As part of our diploma, each student must take one of the following competency exams: Residential Air Conditioning & Heating , Light Commercial Air Conditioning & Heating, or Commercial Refrigeration. Career Opportunities The HVAC/R industry offers a wide range of careers from installer to business owner. With training, you can design, install, service and maintain the following systems: Residential systems for homes and apartment buildings.
