A student can earn a bachelor of arts or a bachelor of science degree in sociology . The bachelor of arts degree requires two semesters of a foreign language. The bachelor of science degree requires nine credits in science ? computer science and natural science. Many students attend graduate programs or go directly to work in social service and justice agencies, including women's shelters, government agencies, hospital administration, guidance counseling, and casework. Academic development is emphasized, along with career preparation, to assist students in exploring career options.
