Judaic Studies from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion - New York is a Campus Bachelor Language degree that prepares you for a Liberal Arts career. The Bachelor of Science in Judaic Studies requires a total of 120 units: 52 units in Judaic Studies, which shall include 14 units in Hebrew language and literature, and 38 units of upper division Judaic Studies courses; plus 68 units in liberal arts from an accredited college or university. Normally the student will complete the liberal arts program prior to upper division work at the Louchheim School. The program must be completed in six years, of which two must be in residence consecutively. Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Religion and Emphasis in Judaic Studies The Bachelor of Arts degree requires a total of 128 units which shall include 20 units in upper division Judaic Studies offered by HUC-JIR. This degree is offered by the University of Southern California in cooperation with the College-Institute. Other departments of the University may permit students to enroll in courses at the College-Institute. Such courses may be taken as lower division electives or general education requirements, or they may constitute a portion of the student's major, in keeping with the regulation of each department.
