Demonstrate a basic working knowledge of human resource functions and its impact on small businesses. Retrieve and evaluate the necessary documents (i.e. licenses) to start a business. Perform an internal and external SWOT analysis of business ownership. Evaluate the various forms of business ownership: sole proprietorship, partnership, and corporation. Examine various ways to obtain capital and financing for a business. Develop a comprehensive business plan. Think critically at a conceptual level and by using mathematical analysis as well as the scientific method; write and speak effectively; use basic computer applications; and understand human behavior in the context of the greater society in a culturally diverse world.
