Within these general areas, field, laboratory and computational modeling project topics include constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment, wetland restoration, groundwater modeling, optimal reservoir operations, watershed rehabilitation and restoration, modification of instream structures to facilitate the passage of fish, hydrogen fuel cell design. Special research facilities include the Shatz Hydrogen Fuel Cell Lab, the Arcata March and Wildlife Sanctuary, the CNRS Sediment Transport Flume, the Telonicher Marine Laboratory, and surrounding forest and streams.
