Associate of Arts Degree (Core Cluster) General Objectives Upon completion of the courses of study, the student will be able to: 1. Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the Bible and an appreciation for its content and authority as the inerrant Word of God. 2. Apply biblical truths and theological principles and concepts to the solution of human problems for the betterment of human life and to the glory of God. 3. Display an understanding of world events from a historical perspective, which shaped the development of Christian religion. 4. Demonstrate effective use of the tools of communication in oral and written forms. 5. Exhibit preaching skills in sermon preparation and delivery. 6. Exhibit a working knowledge of techniques and methods of Bible teaching. 7. Demonstrate knowledge of human behavior with regard to how they respond to psychological and sociological issues, events, and conditions that impact human decisions. Christian Education Concentration (15 Credit Hours) Specific Objectives Students who complete this option will be able to demonstrate the achievement of the general objectives listed under the core cluster and will also be able to: 1. Develop a Christian education curriculum that can be used in a local church. 2. Demonstrate appropriate techniques for teaching Bible and Bible related content. 3.
