A Medical Laboratory Technician assesses the reliability/accuracy of the testing, maintains and operates diagnostic equipment, evaluates patient results, prepares analytical reagents and controls, and troubleshoots problems with specimens/analyzers, and other performs other duties. The program graduate will be eligible to take the ASCP Board of Certification's national professional certification examination, and will be able to work in a variety of clinical settings that include hospital laboratories, physicians' offices, and clinics.
