Course work includes a core of history courses?plus electives selected from the following areas: Ancient, early modern, and modern European history United States history History of the wider world: Mediterranean, Middle East, Asia, and Latin America Optional concentrations are offered in Mediterranean history and in public and applied history . In addition, the department offers a history writing minor. Relatively small class sizes enable students to work one-on-one with talented and dedicated faculty members.
