Course work in the major includes skill proficiencies in areas such as the following: Fitness, net sports, team sports, and dance Human growth and motor development Social behavioral aspects of physical education Teaching theory and methods A concentration is available in coaching . In addition, minors are available in dance, strength and conditioning, and martial arts. Careers: Graduates of the Physical Education Teaching Program are qualified to take the state licensing exam for teaching physical education in kindergarten through grade 12.
