The Degree Certification options are designed so that upon completion of the program, either the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator or the Master CIW Web Site Manager certifications can be earned; in addition, preparation for more than twenty industry-recognized certifications is part of the curriculum. Students also acquire the skills necessary to administer database and Internet servers, including handling the security risks involved. The program also has a telecommunication and Internet telecommunication component. The general education components help the graduate to develop effective oral and written communication skills and to develop the ability to work cooperatively with individuals from a diversity of backgrounds. In pursuit of the AA, the student must complete 18 semester credit hours, including three semester credit hours from each of these four areas: Humanities Natural Sciences Behavioral Sciences Mathematics This comprehensive program will prepare the graduate for employment in a constantly growing field and create the opportunity for advancement in cutting edge technology.
