Iowa State University is recognized as one of the Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance education. Students can take courses from various participating departments and use Iowa State's advanced research labs specifically designed for experimenting with network security. Faculty research interests cover the breadth of information assurance, including intrusion detection, security of wireless networks, mobile ad-hoc tactical networks, secure e-commerce, security policy, risk management, IT audit and compliance, and privacy.
