Over a two year period, this program will cover such topics and methods of instruction as; police history and theory; criminal , juvenile, civil, traffic and alcoholic beverage laws; crash investigations, and community relations. Additional activities simulating criminal investigations will be used to teach scientific knowledge related to anatomy, biology, and chemistry. Oral and written communication skills will be reinforced through activities that model public relations and crime prevention efforts. Students will be held to a high standard of conduct, academic achievement and performance. This course will be a challenging one requiring hands-on lab activities and role play exercises designed to reinforce learning objectives. Students will also have the opportunity to develop their agility and physical fitness capabilities.
