The College of Osteopathic Medicine provides aspiring osteopathic physicians a range of options, from early admissions programs to dual-degree programs. Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Early Decision) KCUMB?s College of Osteopathic Medicine established an early matriculation program, called the Partnership Plan, with several outstanding undergraduate institutions. As a prospective Partnership Plan student, you will apply early in the fall semester of your sophomore year. An interview takes place on your undergraduate campus with representatives of the Pre-Health Advisor Committee and one representative of KCUMB. If you are accepted into the Partnership Program, you must maintain a 3.5 science G.P.A. and complete the required academic courses. Partnership Plan applicants will matriculate to KCUMB following the end of their junior year. You will not be required to take the MCAT exam. Participating schools include: Rockhurst University, Avila University, William Jewell College, Missouri Western State College, Central Methodist University, Pittsburg State University and a 17-member consortium in Alabama. Your M.B.A. coursework is carefully integrated into your KCUMB curriculum, allowing you to complete both programs on time and graduate with other members of your KCUMB class. M.B.A. coursework begins during the summer between your first and second years of medical school. You will not take courses in both programs simultaneously, except for two distance-learning M.B.A. electives during the final two years of your clinical clerkships.
