THE VALUE OF POLITICAL SCIENCE Those of you who earn a liberal arts degree in political science find opportunities in a wide variety of careers. You may go on to law school or graduate school, or to jobs in law enforcement, business, journalism, environmental consulting, teaching, and public service. Political Science , like its sister fields in the social sciences and liberal arts, should help any student develop reasoning and analytical skills and build competence in oral and written communications. Each semester, the Political Science Department participates in a Open House workshop sponsored by the college.
