Network and Communications Management from Keller Graduate School of Management is a Online Master IT Management degree that prepares you for a IT career. The Master of Network and Communications Management (MNCM) program is designed to equip students with managerial skills and technical knowledge of network and communications technology. It enables them to develop and manage network and communications applications for the strategic benefit of their organizations. The program prepares students to recognize opportunities in which the application of communications technology can provide cost savings, improve customer service, enhance operational efficiencies and other benefits. Coursework provides students with perspectives on managerial decision-making and managing an enterprise in a technological environment. It also focuses on different aspects of communications technologies that enable students to understand and evaluate technology applications and alternatives employed in business and industry. The program is organized to accommodate students with or without a communications technology or networking background. The 15 required courses (45 semester-credit hours) include five management core and six technology core courses, one of which is a capstone project in strategic network and communications solution development. The remaining four elective courses can be selected from the designated specialty (concentration) area. In addition, a technical foundations course, which provides the fundamentals necessary for success in the program, is required of students without a communications technology or networking background. Students with three years' direct communications technology or networking experience, or an undergraduate communications technology or networking education, may request that this course be waived. The curriculum is taught from a practitioner perspective and focuses on applying concepts and skills to real-world situations. Concentrations serve students' professional and personal interests, and provide them flexibility in customizing their education based on personal or employer needs. Students may focus in one or more of the following concentrations: wireless security project management electronic commerce technology applications DeVry University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association, www.ncahlc.org.
