Prepare students to use clinical reasoning in all aspects of occupation therapy practice. 3. Provide students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to use and appreciate research when making clinically sound judgments in their practice, which will advance the effectiveness of occupational therapy . 4. Provide students with the tools to advance their management and leadership skills in order to assume the roles of advocate, trailer/facilitator, manager, consultant, and leader in their occupational therapy practice. 5. Develop and appreciation for life-long learning needed in order to practice in a changing environment Objectives of the Scholarly Research Master's Project Upon completion of this project, the student should be able to demonstrate the ability to: 1. Apply the steps of the research process using critical thinking. 2. Complete a research proposal/project following approval by appropriate bodies. 3. Present and/or defend the research project illustrating its importance to the body of knowledge of occupational therapy both in a written and oral format. 4. Thoroughly research the topic to support the research proposal prior to initiating the research process. 5.
