Kirkwood's Dental Technology program - one of only 20 accredited programs in the nation and the only one in Iowa - prepares you in five specialty areas: dentures, partial dentures, ceramics, orthodontics, and crowns and bridges. During this program, you will work with commercial dental laboratories, the College of Dentistry and Hospital Dentistry at The University of Iowa, and Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iowa City to gain hands-on experience.
