The psychology major leads some students to graduate school in areas such as clinical or counseling psychology , clinical social work, business, physical therapy, industrial-organizational psychology, experimental psychology , law and school psychology. In fact, 93 percent of Lambuth's psychology graduates who apply to graduate school report acceptance into one or more of their programs by graduation. Students who wish to follow this path are provided with opportunities to become involved in experimental research and writing, conferences, critical thinking and practical work in areas that complement their career goals. Other students go directly into the job market?working in outpatient treatment facilities, in crisis counseling, in child development centers, in government jobs, in residential psychiatric facilities, in business or in social service agencies.
