Social Work from Lambuth University is a Campus Bachelor Sociology degree that prepares you for a Human Services career. The Social Work Program was re-established in 2007. The Social Work Program offers students an opportunity to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work . The degree allows students to become "generalist social workers" in a multitude of professional settings. Students focus on a curriculum of courses in human behavior in the social environment, social welfare policy, practice with individuals, families, groups and communities, and social science research. Students also particpate in a senior internship that consists of 440 hours during their senior year. Students graduate with a strong background in skills of advocacy, case management, community development, group and family work, cultural competency, policy analysis and service delivery to poor, oppressed and vulnerable populations. Students are involved in campus activities, service projects, volunteer work , a student social work organization and co-facilitate a campus women's empowerment group.
