Associate of Applied Science The A.A.S. degree in Emergency Medical Services-Paramedics prepares competent, entry-level paramedics for work in various emergency services fields. The program is limited to 12 students. Prospective students must pass a written exam, practical exam, and interview prior to being accepted into the program. All other LCCC application processes also must be met. Prerequisites for entry to the program are EMT-B State certification and employment in the EMS field for at least one year or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification and employed in the EMS field for at least one year.
