Description: The program concentrates on developing standard computer design and drafting skills used in the Architectural or Structural (Civil) drafting fields. The content prepares individuals to perform computer aided procedures such as flat drawing, 3-D modeling, animation, and detailing. The cluster framework progression provides the student a basic drafting core prior to developing specialized skills primarily related to areas of Architectural or Structural (Civil) drafting , depending on the specialty you choose. The Core of 600 hours includes two Occupational Completion Points. Occupational Completion Points A and B include instruction on blueprint reading and the fundamentals of CAD Drafting. When a student finishes Occupational Completion Point B they will have had 600 hours of instruction and the knowledge to become a Drafting Assistant. Occupational Completion Point C includes 800 hours of instruction. OCP-D includes 1800 hours of instruction. Students will also receive specialized instruction in Autodesk drafting.
