LHU's Theatre Division is focused upon students learning the art and craft of theatre from a variety of different vantage points in a directly hands on/experiential production environment that is a reflection of the profession. Students will study both the theoretical and historical foundations of their discipline in classroom, rehearsal and shop environments led by experienced, collegial, and positive faculty who pride themselves on being student centered. Most Theatre students join the University Players, the student theatre organization that serves as producer for all productions and offers students significant opportunities for student leadership and management. In addition to classroom experience and a full production season, Division activities include guest speakers, a student improvisational group, Alpha Psi Omega, and many social events to add further dimension to your LHU Theatre education. Careers, Graduate Schools With your Theatre degree from LHU, you will be prepared to start work in a variety of jobs within the professional theatre and have the student resume to prove it! Recent graduates have moved on to perform and work in production with theatres around the country including those in Washington, D.C. Florida, and Chicago.
