Our mission is to prepare students for entry-level careers and graduate school opportunities in various health care professions through quality didactic and clinical athletic training experiences supported by a liberal arts education. Following completion of the ATEP, the athletic training student will: Appreciate the professional role of allied health professionals in contemporary health care. Act as ethical and responsible allied health care professionals. Successfully pass the Board of Certification examination as an athletic trainer (or other professional credentialing board). Demonstrate an understanding of the domains (http://www.nata.org/education/competencies.htm) of athletic training as set by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Education Council Describe the importance of life-learning and continuing education as personal and professional responsibilities. Demonstrate the ability to critical think and problem solve in professional situations. Demonstrate a respect for diversity as allied health care professionals.
