Chemistry from Madonna University is a Campus Bachelor Chemistry degree that prepares you for a Science career. As part of the Department of Physical and Applied Sciences, the mission of the Chemistry program coincides with the entire Madonna University mission regarding career preparation, and service to others and society based on Judeo-Christian principles as advanced by the Felician Sisters. The Chemistry program incorporates this mission while also providing students with a strong foundation in Chemistry with an emphasis on scientific inquiry. Students will achieve an understanding of modern scientific and technological concepts and the relationship between scientific and technological realities in contemporary life. The Chemistry program offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a minor in Chemistry to students majoring in other areas. Our students traditionally go on to graduate school, medical school, law school, pharmacy school, and engineering school. With the addition of the Forensic Science program, some of our Chemistry majors have gone into the area of Forensic Science. Still others have gone to work for environmental laboratories, major corporations, and science laboratories, such as Intel, BASF, Ford Motor Company and Clayton Environmental.
