Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of all Accounting and Business Administration Transfer degree program requirements, graduates will 1. Be eligible to apply for acceptance as a transfer student to the school of business of a baccalaureate college or university. 2. Apply accounting concepts and critical thinking skills to produce accurate financial statements. 3. Make basic financing and investment decisions for a business using financial management concepts including budgeting, working capital management, capital markets and the effective use of resources. 4. Apply basic principles of our legal system to the operations of American business using analytical and critical thinking skills. Examine and assess business situations using concepts of contract law, sales law and the law of agency. Describe the role of fiduciary duties and ethical and social responsibilities from the perspective of decision-makers and stakeholders using principles of tort law, criminal law and government regulation. 5. Analyze principles, techniques and major functions (planning, organizing, leading and controlling) of business enterprise management . Through active learning, improve decision-making, problem-solving and team-related skills. 6. Understand marketing methods and institutions, including analysis and interrelationship of the marketing mix with consumer behavior, technology and an ever-changing business climate and marketing environment. 7. Demonstrate computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, general ledger accounting system and presentation software.
