Civil Engineering from Manhattan College is a Campus Bachelor Civil Engineering degree that prepares you for a Engineering career. These engineering sciences in turn form the rational framework for analyzing a wide variety of applications involving environmental, geotechnical, structural, transportation and water resources problems. Civil engineers are involved in both the design and construction of facilities that affect all aspects of human life. The civil engineering program at Manhattan College was founded in 1892 and has continued without interruption since then. It is the oldest engineering degree program at the College. Over the years the program's curriculum has been broadened to include environmental engineering and, most recently, construction management to meet the changing needs of society. The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department offers a broad, traditional undergraduate curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree. Graduate study leading to a Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree is available in the specialty areas of construction management and environmental, geotechnical and structural engineering .
