Description Marywood is the only institution in the region offering a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management in which you can earn a combination Aviation Management/Business degree. Pilots working in the field today find that having a Business degree is a great asset to their professional career advancement opportunities. Marywood's Aviation Management Program includes the following: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (BBA) - Aviation Management Major with two tracks: Professional Pilot/Flight Operations Airport/Airline Management The pilot ground instruction is offered at the Marywood University campus, while the flight operations are arranged through an exclusive contract with Tech Aviation located at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, approximately fifteen miles from Marywood's campus. Tech Aviation is a 141 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved school with FAA 135 Charter Operation. Students will pay Tech Aviation directly for flight training on a per hour basis. Information regarding specific program fees is available through the Admissions Office or the Business and Managerial Science Office at Marywood University. Marywood offers the following ratings in conjunction with Tech Aviation: Private Pilot Instrument Rating Commercial Pilot Multi-Engine Rating Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Students who have aircraft operations training and have achieved any of the aforementioned FAA Ratings upon enrollment will receive Marywood University credits in the appropriate ratings area. Likewise, if you are transferring from a community college with an Associates Degree in Aviation Management, you are expected to have successfully completed all of the required ratings.
