The Pre-Doctoral Concentration in Clinical Practice in Childhood, Adolescence and Family (CAF) is designed to provide a solid foundation in the theory and practice of professional psychology while training for work with youth and families. This concentration is designed for students who desire to dedicate a significant portion of their final two years of doctoral study in preparing for a career that includes psychological interventions with children and adolescents and the systems of which they are a part. Students apply to the concentration in the fall of their second year and formally enter in the Fall of Year three. The CAF concentration consists of five pre-requisites, and four core courses. In addition CAF concentration students will complete a pre-doctoral Internship in Child & Family Clinical Services and conduct a doctoral project in this area as well.
