Early Childhood Education from McCann School of Business and Technology is a Campus Associate Early Childhood Education degree that prepares you for a Education career. The McCann School of Business and Technology prepares graduates of the Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education program for entry-level positions as teaching assistants and child care givers in nursery schools, pre-schools, and primary school grades. They can also pursue positions in child day care centers. Our program also encourages graduates to seek career opportunities in public and private schools, day care centers, and child oriented Head Start programs. Upon successful completion, graduates will be able to: Provide individualized classroom instruction to children and instruct young students using the teacher's lesson plan Assist and supervise students in both a public or private classroom setting Create and maintain a positive learning environment that is both encouraging and uplifting for young students Follow the instruction guidelines and time-tested practices used for working with, caring for, and educating infants, toddlers, and early-school-age children Provide care, assistance and support for students with special needs or learning disabilities Learn how to tailor lesson plans to fit the needs of individual students or a particular class Our degree-training program teaches students how to effectively educate and influence young children. Our classes help students develop positive, encouraging and accommodating teaching techniques that can be used in a variety of learning environments. Students are taught that young children can be somewhat fragile and impressionable. This is why it is crucial for early childhood education specialists to remain positive, cheerful, helpful and empathetic at all times. Despite the growing influence of technology-based education tools in the academic field, many early childhood development-teaching methods have remained effective, even after several decades.
