Radiography from Mercer County Community College is a Campus Associate Radiology degree that prepares you for a Healthcare career. The Radiography program combines courses in general education and radiography with supervised clinical experience in area hospitals. Graduates are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Examination in Radiography to become nationally certified and licensed by the State of New Jersey. The program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the New Jersey Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners. Graduates are employed by hospitals, clinics, diagnostic imaging centers, and the offices of private physicians. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded the Associate in Applied Science degree and will be able to: use the principles of radiation protection in diagnostic radiographic procedures; communicate effectively with patients and function as a professional member of the health care team; perform a full range of diagnostic radiographic procedures; utilize critical thinking skills in the performance of radiographic examinations.
