The theoretical knowledge base consists of two years of mathematical and engineering sciences. Professional skills consist of two years of analytical, experimental, and design methodologies. Design experience is computer integrated. Laboratory experience is an integral part of engineering technology education, so at least six laboratory-integrated courses are offered at the junior and senior levels. The student may specialize in one of three concentrations. Classes are available in Computers, Microprocessors, Communications (including satellite, fiber optics, microwave and laser), Control systems (including robotics), Integrated Circuit technology (including Verilog Hardware Description Language), Telecommunications (including LANs, WANs and wireless communications), and Power (including solar and other renewable energies).
