Commercial Art Commercial art is a growing field which demands artistic talent, design ability and practical knowledge of computer programs like Freehand, Illustrator and Quark Xpress. You will study drawing and ceramics in addition to taking introductory courses in advertising design, graphic illustration and graphic design. Other courses you will take include beginning photography, advertising, and principles of marketing. Elective courses could include commercial art airbrush, computer graphics, principles of management, desktop publishing and public relations. During your senior year, you will exhibit works you created during a senior thesis art show in the Kimmel Gallery. Careers You\\\'ll find numerous opportunities for employment with an art major.
