This curriculum leads to an Associate of Applied Science degree and is preparatory for employment upon graduation from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College . Students completing the program will be prepared for jobs in supervision, estimating, layout, handling, storing, monitoring, materials, safety, leadership, and organization of construction projects. In the program, students learn environment and workplace safety issues. They also learn how to identify safety hazards and notify the proper authorities. Through an internship program, students may have the opportunity to work in a position related to construction management . Where transfer to a senior college or university is desired, a conference should be scheduled with a community college guidance counselor for advisement. MGCCC will administer the MS?CPAS (Mississippi Career Planning and Assessment System) prior to program completions in career and technical programs.
