Built on a rich history of over 30 years of biomedical research and teaching through its Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department, a college-wide program is now in place at the graduate level to expand the opportunities for graduate students interested in biomedical engineering. The program is administered by a graduate coordinating committee based in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering . The new program emphasizes the interdisciplinary nature of biomedical engineering and requires that each student have at least one committee member in a clinical specialty from the medical or veterinary disciplines.
