Landscape Architecture Studies from Morrisville State College is a Campus Associate Landscape degree that prepares you for a Architecture career. Landscape Architecture Studies is an associate of science degree program offering students a solid foundation in landscape planning and design. In this program, students gain experience in the planning and design process through a sequence of design studio courses. Students get to meet real clients, conduct site measurements & analysis, and develop design solutions, master plans, and CAD drawings. Landscape Design/Build is an important component of our program. Studio and outdoor projects provide students with hands-on experience in campus, community and residential landscape projects. So, in addition to design projects, our students get to work on landscape construction and hardscape projects building patios, walkways, walls, and rock gardens. They also learn correct plant installation of trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants. The A.S. in Landscape Architecture Studies is primarily designed to meet the needs of students planning to continue their education in a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Program. Our graduates who transfer to leading upper division landscape architecture programs meet with great success. Upon graduating, students also have the option of seeking entry-level employment in the landscape industry in fields such as landscape design & development, landscape horticulture, parks management, recreational planning, and environmental design.
