Degree requirements include 51 semester hours of business core courses, a set of concentration requirements, and 15 hours of practicum credit in addition to the University's general education requirements. In addition to traditional classroom study, both the business core and management concentration requirements are available in an accelerated format that meets two evenings a week. The associate degree in business administration qualifies students for entry-level positions or continued study toward a bachelor's degree . Most coursework is offered in a series of eight-week sessions, with two classes in each session; the remaining coursework is offered through independent study. Students who are pursuing traditional classroom study can choose to complete some of their degree requirements with accelerated courses. Management (B.S., A.S.) The B.S. or A.S. management concentration fosters skills in achieving the efficient and effective completion of organizational work activities through people. It includes an intensive examination of the planning, organizing, leading, and controlling functions. In additional to traditional classroom study, the management concentration is available in an accelerated format, described under ?Accelerated Degree Program? at the beginning of the business administration degree section.
