PROGRAM INFORMATION: The two-year curriculum in nursing leads to an Associate in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S. A.D.N.) and helps prepare the graduate to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses . Graduates must also meet legal requirements for licensure as mandated by the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) or the state in which initial licensure is sought. Successful completion of the examination will allow the graduate to practice as a registered nurse.
