Program Format: Campus Program Level: Bachelor

Graphics and Illustration from Nazareth College of Rochester is a Campus Bachelor Design degree that prepares you for a Art and Design career. GR/ILL combines studies in studio art with courses in graphic design , illustration, advertising and web design. This combination better prepares students for a broad range of career possibilities. At Nazareth, good drawing skills are a pre-requisite. We don\\\'t encourage our illustrators to simply find and assemble anything from available images. We insist that they be able to draw first. Then, with the assistance of technology, we try to go beyond the merely useful to produce successful illustration and/or design . Finished pieces contribute to professional quality portfolios, as they appear to be already published. Program Highlights Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator taught as well as Dreamweaver and Flash. Emphasis is on portfolio building and assembling a professional body of work by the junior and senior year. An internship is required by the senior year for completion of a GR/ILL concentration. Alumni use their skills at local and national advertising, marketing and communications firms as well as in the non-profit sector. View more details on Nazareth College .
