Students entering any chemistry graduate program must take entrance examinations within a week after their first registration. If deficiencies are determine, appropriate undergraduate coursework will be suggested. The student?s course of study must be approved by the student?s advisory committee and must fulfill the general degree requirements for their respective advanced degree. Master of Science in Chemistry A minimum of 12 credit hours of 500-level chemistry course is required. CHEM 529 and 530 do not count towards this requirement. Additionally students must take 6 credit hours at the 300, 400, or 500-level and above from other departments. The student should consult with their committee and advisor when developing a course plan. M.S. students are required to take CHEM 529 and 530 for credit for at least two semester and to register as auditor for other semesters.
