The DMA program, conceived as a professional training conservatory, prepares students to creatively, critically, and responsibly pattern our future world. It hones communication skills, technical competencies, ethical and social responsibilities, and acute aesthetic sensibilities. Our faculty and curricula stress an understanding of modern society and the attainment of skills related to other cultural products of mass media - such as film, entertainment, and the visual field around us. We explore emerging forms of visual communication, interactive design, and virtual environments - upon which students can build their contributions to this dynamic field. The DMA program challenges students to professionally execute their ideas, to explore the applied and artistic aspects of multiple design disciplines, and to address personal, social, environmental, and global issues in their work.
