Our department prepares chemistry majors for entry in graduate or professional schools and for careers in teaching or in industry. All students served by the department gain insight into the nature of scientific investigations and the scientific enterprise in general. We also emphasizes outreach to the local and academic community as well as contributions to the extension of basic knowledge of chemistry and related sciences. The Department offers B.S. degree tracks in biochemistry, education, research, pre-health and professional chemistry.
