NCC\\\'s Emergency Services Technology program trains you to carry out safely and effectively the difficult and dangerous duties of saving lives and property. The program is primarily designed for recent high school graduates who are interested in emergency services, and those who are already serving with a unit and want to upgrade their skills. Program Features A number of program electives are available to allow you to select and focus on your area of personal interest. You will learn the professional techniques you need to meet the challenges in your specific area. In addition, you will take courses in general education to help give you a broader understanding of the type of work for which you are preparing. To help students and graduates stay up-to-date, we will announce through the program special \\\"brush-up\\\" and recertification seminars in EMT, CPR, and other related offerings. Program Outcomes Graduates of the program will: Utilize skills to develop decision making and problem solving abilities in an emergency situation. Function safely and effectively as a member of an emergency services team. Develop a management approach in the various segments of emergency services, Public Safety (Fire/Emergency Medical), and the Private Sector (Industry). Develop standard operating procedures for emergency operations. Develop a pre-plan for fire and hazardous materials emergencies.
