Student will use basic math and measuring techniques to solve common welding shop problems. 3. Student will interpret symbols and blueprints accurately for a variety of welding projects. 4. Student will define common acronyms used in the welding industry. 5. Student will identify and select the proper filler metal dependant on base metal to be welded. 6. Student will troubleshoot and solve common problems involved with everyday use of a welding machine. 7. Student will pass guided bend tests on multiple thicknesses of steel per industry standards. 8. Student will utilize manual, semi-automatic, and automatic equipment for cutting and welding . 9. Student will demonstrate effective oral and written communications with all clients and customers with respect for diversity of culture, age and gender. 10. Student will demonstrate professional workplace habits including punctuality, attitudes, behaviors, and craftsmanship expected of the welding industry.
