The accelerated AuD program of excellence prepares you to become an independent practitioner in private practice or in a medical clinic, hospital, or university setting. Alumni of our audiology training program are employed in a variety of settings, providing direct clinical service, supervising clinical practitioners and overseeing clinical service programs, or teaching clinical courses in university settings. Accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association?s Council on Academic Accreditation and within a department ranked among the top in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, the AuD program prepares you to meet the challenges of audiologic practice today and tomorrow. Approximately 12 students join the program each year, allowing us to ensure an outstanding faculty-to-student ratio. You will work closely with faculty who are world-renowned leaders in hearing loss diagnosis and management, speech perception, psychoacoustics, amplification devices including modern hearing aids and cochlear implants, cochlear physiology, auditory neuroscience and electrophysiology, and auditory learning. Through academic courses, a supervised practicum, a mentored clinical research project and electives, you will learn and work with the latest advances in evaluation of hearing and treatment of hearing loss.
