Early Childhood students become licensed to teach grades pre-kindergarten through grade three, and Middle Childhood students become licensed to teach grades four through grades nine in two areas of concentration. Middle Childhood students choose from the following areas of concentration: mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies. The MEd program at The Ohio State University at Lima offers the following advantages for students: Students connect current educational theory and research-based methodologies to classroom teaching experiences each quarter of the program. Class sizes are small allowing for discussion and collaborative learning. Faculty is readily available to support students? learning.
