Coursework for the program includes film theory and criticism, international film history, contemporary issues in international film and additional courses in film aesthetics and analysis. The program requires proficiency in a second language. To meet this requirement, students must take and pass appropriate language classes. If already proficient, a language exam can be taken; if passed, the language course requirement is waived. The minor area of study is selected in consultation with a faculty advisor.
