About the Program OIT\\\'s Dental Hygiene Department offers four dental hygiene programs designed to meet the unique needs of students and the communities they serve. Since 1970, the original program has been located on the Klamath Falls main campus of OIT. The program is known for its community outreach activities and small student-to-faculty ratio. An 18-month associate degree program in La Grande, Oregon is the result of a unique partnership between OIT, ODS Dental Companies, and Eastern Oregon University. The department will accept the first class into the professional dental hygiene program in Salem on the Chemeketa Community College campus in September 2011.
