Offered on the New York City campus, our exciting new professional BFA in Fine Arts program provides an intensive curriculum in studio art that prepares you for a career in art or design, or advanced study in the field. You receive a broad introduction to the studio arts through a sequence of introductory courses in different media, followed by focused study in a selected studio area, including Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Photography, Digital Arts/Design, Video, and Sculpture. Our program provides a nurturing?yet challenging?environment to develop your creative potential. Small class sizes allow for a high degree of individual attention. You learn from our outstanding faculty of internationally recognized professional artists and distinguished educators committed to fostering an active learning environment. Faculty achievements include an MTA Subway Station Commission, a video installation at the Getty Museum, and group exhibitions at PS1 Contemporary Art Center and the Whitney Museum. Our courses utilize the artistic and cultural resources of New York, incorporating visits to museums, galleries, and artists\\\' studios. In our signature learning community courses, you will be encouraged to link artistic production with topics in other fields, including literature, philosophy, business, or science. And each semester, our lecture series brings established and emerging artists into the classroom. Two on-campus galleries provide exhibition opportunities for students and the opportunity to see the work of contemporary artists without leaving the campus. Study abroad and professional internships also are available. Pace students have worked for internship credit at MTV, Sotheby?s, Printed Matter, MOMA, and a variety of design firms, magazines, and Yard artists? studios. Professional internships in galleries, museums, studios and design firms will expand your practical experience and enhance your career opportunities. Our students have profited from work experiences at MOMA, Sotheby\\\'s, Arista Records, US News and World Report, and MTV, among others. A five-week summer program in Florence, Italy, in association with the Accademia di Bella Arti, affords you the opportunity to live and work in Italy and to exhibit your work with Italian art students\\\' work.
