Course content includes police administration , criminal law , probation & parole, and criminal investigation. Employment Opportunities Upon completion of this program, you may seek employment as a Law Enforcement Officer. It is necessary to complete the Police Academy to be hired as a Law Enforcement Officer in Florida. Nationally, in 2006, seventy-nine percent were employed by local governments. State police agencies employed about 11 percent, and various Federal agencies employed about 7 percent.
